We are excited to announce that you can now use the Smartify app on the Asbury Park Boardwalk and at home.

Smartify is a free app which helps people make meaningful connections with art. Using image recognition technology, the app instantly identifies works of art by scanning them on your smartphone. Visitors of the Asbury Park Boardwalk can scan any of the Wooden Walls Murals to further explore the art, the artist and the story behind the art. Read more about the works, learn about the artists, and create a digital personal art collection to keep or share with the Smartify community.

The Wooden Walls Project joins a host of global partners including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Royal Academy of Arts, Faom in Amsterdam, Museum Correr in Venice.

To use Smartify at home, download the app on Android and IOS via the Apple App Store and Google Play. Explore by searching Wooden Walls Project and the scroll down to browse the Wooden Walls Mural collection. You will find images of the murals, information on and links to the artist pages as well as video documenting their creation of the art on the APBoardwalk.

To use Smartify on the Asbury Park Boardwalk (once the boardwalk is opens), download the app and hold your phone up to a mural to instantly identify it. Detailed information about the mural will then appear on your screen. The app is available for download on Android and IOS via the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Download today and start exploring.
