PlusOne, presented by the Wooden Walls Public Art Project, will feature programming that includes large-scale murals, immersive and site-specific installations, exhibitions, artist talks, tours and hands-on experiences – effectively turning Asbury Park into an open-air gallery and creative playground. September 15-17 | Mural Painting
+ Watch live as Shepard Fairey paints the Sunset Avenue Pavilion (1400 Ocean Ave) where he will be creating a new large-scale mural in the days leading up to opening weekend of PlusOne, bringing his distinctive graphic language and socially engaged practice back to the city
September 17 | Shepard Fairey Pop-Up Shop | 6-10pm

+ The Arts Block Party will take place on the 700 block of Cookman Avenue, accompanied by the opening night reception at Parlor Gallery for Shepard Fairey’s “Raw Power” exhibit featuring his artwork alongside works by other PlusOne participants
September 20 | March of Medusa | 12pm
+ Starting at the Carousel House, PlusOne will present the 4th Annual “March of Medusa” procession created by multidisciplinary artist Dennis McNett, aka Wolfbat, together with a host of collaborators including Swoon, Steve Olson, Adam Wallacavage, Jude Harzer, Jodi Rice, Kathy Kelly, Lecy Goranson, and the Ocean Avenue Stompers with special guests.
*Procession route is along the Boardwalk from the Carousel House to 4th Avenue Pavilion. All are welcome to join the procession or watch along the route.
WEEKEND TWO | SEPTEMBER 24-26
St. John’s Island located in Sunset Lake Park (Grand Ave between 5th & Sunset) will feature an immersive art installation, “Dr. Flotsam’s Carny Island,” by contemporary multidisciplinary artist Mike Shine, whose work is inspired by the visual culture of early 20th-century traveling carnivals, sideshows, and Americana. Shine’s collaborators on this project will include Porkchop, Bradley Hoffer, Beau Stanton, Jason Stumpf, and more.

The boardwalk’s iconic Carousel House will take center stage for the culminating weekend of PlusOne. The space will be transformed into a reimagined “Carousel Fun House” where artists will bring custom games, unexpected prizes, and site-specific installations to life throughout the space.
Featured artists will include Amberella, Dylon Egon, Bradley Hoffer, Scooter LaForge, Bill Barminski, and Scott Froschauer.
